B2G helps UK publicly funded bodies procure building works & services using our open frameworks & DPS
B2G tender & manage open framework agreements (and a DPS), which enable publicly funded bodies like councils, schools, hospitals & housing associations etc to fast track to a short list of pre-vetted contractors and specialist suppliers, who they then contract to undertake building works & services to repair, maintain & improve the property they own or manage. Our sole focus is on building works & services, and we're particularly strong on 'full system' flat & pitched roofing works.
Contract types vary from one off projects to estate-wide planned upgrade programmes and multi-year responsive repair services, and contracts can be awarded directly or after running a mini-competition. We price check quotes at the procurement stage to assure value for money, and continue to monitor each project to contract completion, to help assure it's delivered on time, spec & budget. In return for our services we receive a 1% levy on the value invoiced over the course of each contract.
To do this we operate as a central procurement authority as the agent of Gold Hill Care, with whom we share the 1% levy, to help fund their services.
WHO can use B2G frameworks?
(Here comes the legal 'buyer eligibility' bit): Any publicly funded organisation and or contracting authority in the United Kingdom as defined by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and or the Public Contracts Directive 2014 including but not limited to any central government department, agency, devolved administration and or national/non-departmental public body or any local authority, unitary authority, or subsidiary or joint-venture vehicle of a local or unitary authority, or any arms-length management organisation or council owned company, or any school, college, university, education trust or authority, or any transport authority or service provider, or any health authority, council, board or trust, or any police, fire, rescue or emergency service, or any housing association, registered social landlord or tenant management organisation or any registered charity may access B2G frameworks or DPS as a Buyer, as may any private sector organisation, particularly those established by public sector organisations to deliver public services.
WHY do they use B2G?
Because our levy is just 1% per invoice, with no access fee or hidden charges. We keep it low, and always will, because we believe your budget should be spent on property, not procurement.
Because we set a high quality threshold so suppliers without proven competence or capability exclude themselves. Our suppliers are reliable and trustworthy, with the certification and case histories to prove it.
Because buyers can direct award any supplier confident they will deliver to a quality that meets or exceeds all regulations and standards, at a competitive price, and in full support of the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012.
Because our specification is robust & flexible: to assure build quality & compliance with all regulations & standards, and to suit a wide range of projects and programmes in terms of scale, location, term and property type.
Because we deliver commercial value. Buyers need cost control & competitive pricing. Suppliers need sustainable profit. Our approach delivers both, adhering to the UK.gov Should Cost Model to deliver value for money.
Because we deliver social value. Our suppliers commit to supporting all measures set out in the Considerate Constructors Scheme's Social Value Checklist including employment, supply chain & community engagement.
WHAT type of property & project?
Our open frameworks and DPS can be used for any single-site or multi-site project, programme or term contract. and in respect of any asset class of property, including but not limited to residential, administrative, educational, health, storage, technical, industrial, agricultural, commercial, retail, leisure, transport, security and communal property. Clients are also free to use any standard form of contract or Pre-Contract Service Agreements (PCSA) used by the industry, including the commonly used JCT, NEC and PPC suites of contracts.
HOW it works?
Registration: It's a simple Excel document you can download & email (pls contact us if your firewall blocks you from doing so);
Tender: Buyers then use their own preferred systems, documents & processes. We don't impose unnecessary steps;
Contract: Any standard form of contract commonly used in sector (eg. JCT, NEC, PPC etc) can be used;
Delivery: The supplier then delivers the agreed works, supplies and/or services to the agreed terms & KPIs;
Support: B2G monitors every project contract to completion - nb. we monitor, we don’t manage - to help ensure it gets delivered on time & budget;
Settlement: The supplier invoices the buyer in the usual way, and B2G invoices the supplier to collect our levy.
